Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. Tour

Mere months after releasing their latest Patterns EP, indie-pop duo Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. have announced their plans for a new album. Dubbed The Speed of Things, the pair said that the album was influenced by today’s fast-paced world and the notion that it’s hard to know where to begin when there’s so much information being thrown around. No word on a release date yet, but the band has also revealed plans for a tour with Atlas Genius, with stops in New York, Boston, Philadelphia, San Diego, Portland, Anaheim, and more.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. started when Daniel Zott and Joshua Epstein met and began recording in Zott’s basement. The two are actually fans of Dale Earnhardt, Jr., and the band emailed the race car driver some of their tracks to assure that they were not making fun of him with their name. Previous releases include the Horsepower EP (released in 2010) and full-length album It’s A Corporate World in 2011.
