Indie girls, rejoice: Damien Jurado and Ben Gibbard (of Death Cab for Cutie) are touring together. Starting later this fall, the two will make their rounds throughout the West Coast, stopping in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Portland. The tour begins on November 13 and ends on November 18. And if you’re still in need of a Jurado kick, you can see him on tour from September through mid-November with Sharon Van Etten.

Before Jurado was touring with the likes of indie-rock royalty like Gibbard, he was recording music in the mid-’90s on cassette tapes for his own record label, Casa Recordings. It was only until Sunny Day Real Estate singer, Jeremy Enigk, heard his music did he gain the attention of Sub Pop Records, a label on which he would end up releasing four albums and two EPs. Jurado’s musical style mixes lo-fi indie rock with “found sounds,” often using experimental audio from old audio letters and thrift store tape players to create his music. His 12th album, Maraqopa, was released earlier this year.
