DATSIK Plans More ‘Digital Assassins’ Dates
Canadian dubstep producer and DJ DATSIK is already heading out on his “Digital Assassins” tour in support of his Let It Burn LP, but he’s added more dates to quell his screaming fans. This major North American tour runs from January to late March, kicking off at Charlottesville, VA’s Jefferson Theater and moving through Chicago, IL; Norfolk, VA; Burlington, VT; Providence, RI; Grand Rapids, MI; Missoula, MT; Vancouver, BC; Kelowna, BC (his hometown); Seattle, WA, and many more. Support for all dates includes Herobust, Getter, Heroes x Villains, Must Die, and Protohype, to name a few. Before the “Digital Assassins” tour starts, you can catch DATSIK co-headlining a few shows with Wu-Tang’s GZA in Boston, MA; New York, NY; and Philadelphia. DATSIK (also known as Troy Beetles) released his first LP in the spring of 2009. Since his start, he’s collaborated with artists such as RZA, GZA, Benny Benassi, Nero, and more, and played at such festivals as Coachella, Ultra Music Festival, and Electric Zoo, He cites Wu-Tang as a major inspiration to his music, and in January 2012, DATSIK founded his own record label, Firepower Records. So far, dubstep producers Getter, Delta Heavy, and AFK live on his label.
