David Gray is going on tour to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his beloved album White Ladder. The album contains hits that featured a then-novel blend folk and electronica like “Babylon” and “Please Forgive Me” and rode that novelty to platinum-selling status in the US and a record number of sales in Ireland.

“What happened with White Ladder involved more than music. It was a sort of heart and soul moment of total surrender for everybody involved, for me and the audience. That was it. It doesn’t get any better than that,” Gray said in a press release announcing the tour.

He’ll bring that magic to his shows in the US, starting on July 13 at Lewiston’s Artpark Mainstage Theater. From there, he’ll head to Cleveland and Toronto on the way to a show at Chicago’s Huntington Bank Pavilion. A West Coast run includes stops at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles and the Cal Coast Credit Union Theatre in San Diego.

Gray will turn back through Texas, heading up through North Carolina to shows in New York City and Philadelphia. The tour ends in Boston at the Rockland Trust Bank Pavilion on August 21.
