Even in our ever-more-connected musical landscape, it’s rare that a Nigerian pop artist breaks stateside. Such is the strength of Davido‘s A Good Time, and particularly the track “Fall,” that its presence on domestic airwaves wasn’t even questioned. Since dropping his album earlier this year, Davido has been sampled by Kanye West and has a Cardi B-assisted remix in the works. It’s high time for the afro-pop star to come stateside.

That’s exactly what he’ll do come January. Starting with dates at Philadelphia’s Fillmore and the Union Hall in Edmonton, Davido will launch a North American tour that will carry him to all four corners of the continent. Along the way, he’ll play venues like Los Angeles’ Wiltern, Terminal 5 in New York City and Houston’s Revention Center. He’ll show the great, big middle love with shows in Chicago, Indianapolis and Minneapolis, before shutting it down at Atlanta’s Tabernacle on April 11.

“The world is changing, people, especially younger people, are more open-minded,” Davido told GQ of his recent success. “Ten years ago it wasn’t cool to be African, but now it’s cool, everybody accepts us.”
