This ain’t no monkey business: the three surviving members of the Monkees are going on tour this summer. The timeless group has seemed to leave an impact on countless generations (thanks, TV Land!), so expect to be joined by someone several years your senior or junior in the audience. Sing along while they play the hits like “Daydream Believer,” “Not Your Steppin’ Stone” and “I’m a Believer.” You won’t even have to take the last train to Clarksville to hear the band perform near you–they’re going to be hitting 14 stops in the U.S. this May and June so you won’t have any excuse to miss them. It’ll be a great time to see the band that has been around for almost five decades.
The tour will launch in Hampton, NH, on May 22 at the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom. Join them along the East Coast as they hit the Paramount in Huntington, NY, on May 25. The tour will then veer into the Midwest, starting in Detroit on May 30 at the Fox Theater. On June 2, as part of the Music in the Zoo Concert Series at the Weesner Family Amphitheater in Minneapolis, MN, the band will perform. The last leg of the tour will be in Cleveland, OH, at the Hardrock Live on June 7, but we doubt that that will be the last time the Monkees will grace us with their music on stage.
