Deadmau5 to Headline Children’s Benefit After-Party

After all, he does bear a passing resemblance to Mickey Mouse: According to Rolling Stone Magazine, Deadmau5 will bring his light-up rodent mask and EDM tracks to the House of Blues in West Hollywood, CA, for a children’s charity event this February. The DJ has been tapped to headline the second-annual post-Grammy awards benefit, a fundraiser for the Children’s Orthopedic Center at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Scheduled to take place directly after the Grammys on Sunday the 10th, the concert will also feature management companies Three Six Zero Group and Roc Nation as hosts, and Crookers and Nero – among other acts TBA – as fellow performers.

Last year’s altruistic after-party boasted headliners Rihanna and Calvin Harris, in addition to everyone’s favorite Canadian cartoon DJ. The show successfully raised over $150,000 for patients suffering from birth defects, injuries and disfiguring disorders at LA’s children’s hospital. It was also, apparently, one of the hottest offerings of a night dedicated to popular music – reasons upon reasons to attend this year’s gig.
Unsurprisingly, tickets to the 2013 show are pricey: As of now, the cheapest seat is going for a little over $200. If you live in the area, have the cash to give, and haven’t scheduled any conflicting philanthropic commitments the night of, however, there’s no better place to be.
