Deerhoof Making Noise in the East Coast & Midwest This April
Deerhoof Tour
Deerhoof, a “noise” band originally from San Francisco, have confirmed a batch of US tour dates slated for this spring. The tour sees the indie rockers throughout the Midwest and East Coast, and is in support of their upcoming EP, We Do Parties, due out February 26. The shows kick off on April 4 with a gig at The Firebird in St. Louis, MO, followed by a show at the University of Wisconsin. On April 8, they’ll make a stop in Chicago (home of Pitchfork Music Festival and North Coast Music Festival) when they perform at Lincoln Hall. For the more cultured folks in the room, head over to The Warhol at Carnegie Hall in Pittsburgh to check the band out on April 12. The tour comes to a close with a show in Philly at Union Transfer on April 15.

Since their formation in 1994, Deerhoof has taken the non-traditional route when it comes to making music. Known for their high-energy and unpredictable sounds, the band has said that they “never knew what kind of music they would create next, nor that they even had any idea what they were doing when they created it.” Hm, can I be in this band? I’ll be the girl onstage dinging the triangle.
