Metal Band Deicide Announces Dates for ‘End of the World’ Tour
After 25 years strong, American death-metal band, Deicide, have announced dates for a headlining tour of Europe. The shows take place over the month of March, and is lovingly titled the “End Of The World” tour. Well, at least if the world is ending, we’ll all have the chance to see these guys one last time. It kicks off on March 1, with a show in Wroclaw, Poland, at Madness. The band will also make stops in Hungary, Greece and Switzerland, before heading to Piacenza, Italy on March 16, for a performance at The Fillmore. The four-piece rockers will also spend some time in the United Kingdom, and the first of four shows there begins on March 18, when they play in Norwich at the Waterfront. The tour wraps up on March 25, with a gig at Baroeg in Rotterdam, Holland.
Since their formation in 1987, Deicide (can I get a phonetic spelling, please?) has released a whopping 10 studio albums. Their latest, 2011’s To Hell with God, was produced by Mark Lewis (known for his work with DevilDriver and The Black Dahlia Murder) via Century Media Records. Check out the video for their song, “Conviction,” which is done entirely in claymation. That’s right, even death-metal heads like claymation.
