Conor Oberst and his garage-rock punk-band, Desaparecidos, are back and heading out on a fall tour. The group from Omaha, NE, have made plans to begin traveling this October, when (as of now) they’ll play the first of several Midwest and Western gigs. Technically, the band has booked one show for late August – in Minneapolis, MN, on the 28th – but the fun doesn’t really get going until October 10, which is when their run of 12 back-to-back concerts officially begins.

Scheduled to last through early November, Desaparecidos’ tour also includes stops in Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Tennessee, Texas, Louisiana, and California. Tickets to several of the recently reunited group’s shows are on sale now, but as we’re still months away from their first performance, be sure to check back here as even more deals continue to crop up!

Desaparecidos Winter Tour

Desaparecidos, the post-hardcore outfit out of Omaha, have announced a small East Coast tour for early next year. This comes after the band reunited during the summer to record two new tracks–the first material they’ve recored since 2002’s Read Music/Speak English. Often referred to as the “Saddle Creek Supergroup,” the band has been performing intermittently since 2001.

The tour runs through the majority of February, kicking off on February 15, at The Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ. The six-piece troupe, fronted by that swoon-worthy Conor Oberst of Bright Eyes, will also make stops in D.C., North Carolina, Atlanta, and Philly. Florida will get a double-dose of Desaparecidos (man that’s hard to spell) with a show at The Beacham on the 19th, and a show at FSU on the 20th. The tour wraps up with a gig at Paradise Rock Club in Boston on the 24th, and finally a New York City performance at Webster Hall on February 26. Joyce Manor and States & Kingdoms will act as support for varying dates.
