Dessa Announces “Early Words Tour” for Spring 2013

Dessa the Doomtree rapper/singer has announced a spring tour. The Midwest/East Coast tour will kick-off on April 30 and wrap up on May 16. The 17-day tour will include a total of 15 concerts. Dessa’s unique part hip-hop, part cabaret sound has delighted audiences and critics all across America. The critically acclaimed artist has received praise from the Chicago Tribune: “Enchanting,” and the Minnesota Public Radio: “Dessa combines the dry wit of Dorothy Parker with the beat of Mos Def.”

Buffalo, NY, will host the first concert at the Ninth Ward on April 30. Dessa will then hit New York, NY; Burlington, VT; Cambridge, MA; before returning to Brooklyn, NY, on May 8 at Union Hall. Following the return to New York, she will head south for shows in Arlington, VA; Carrboro, NC; and Baltimore, MD. The tour will once again return to New York with a show at SubCulture on May 13, before concluding in Pontiac, MI, on May 16. Stay tuned to SeatGeek for more updates on the tour.
