If you’re a lover of bands that blend genres and put on impressive live shows AND are looking for a cool way to ring in the New Year in Massachusetts, then we’ve got the perfect event for you. Touring veterans Dopapod and Twiddle have just announced that they’ll be teaming up for a special New Year’s Eve show at the Palladium in Worcester, MA. Doors open at 6PM and more bands are expected to be added to the bill.
Two up and coming acts in the live music scene, Dopapod and Twiddle are both quartets original from New England (although Dopapod is now based in Brooklyn). Dopapod’s sound mixes influences from funk, electronic, rock n’ roll and classic music. Since their 2009 debut album Radar, they’ve released two studio releases and a live albums; their newest record Never Odd Or Even drops on November 11. Twiddle, meanwhile, has made a name for themselves with a fusion of reggae and funk with hints of jazz, bluegrass, and classical. So far, they’ve released two studio albums and this summer dropped a live album. Both bands for their intensive touring and rowdy live shows.
