It’s safe to say that Ed Sheeran is rocking life at the moment. After the recent release of his upcoming album’s lead single “Sing,” appearing on Saturday Night Live, and snagging the cover of Billboard, the only thing left to do is take it to the streets Ed Sheeran is doing just that. The British singer-songwriter just announced that he will be touring North America this summer in his first headlining area tour. The tour is in support of his second album x, which is scheduled for released on June 23. Sheeran’s recording career began in 2005, but Americans really got to know him in 2012 when he appeared on Taylor Swift’s “Red,” with whom he toured North America in 2013 as an opening act.
The tour will kick off on August 22 in Seattle at the Wamu Theater. At the end of August, Sheeran’s fans will get to see him in Vegas at The Chelsea at the Cosmopolitan on August 29 and 30. September will find Sheeran making stops along the East Coast in Philadelphia at the Wells Fargo Center, Boston at the Xfinity Center, and in Charlotte on September 11. Canadian fans, fear not, Sheeran will be playing in Vancouver in August and Toronto in September. Rest assured there will be more dates announced soon.
