Elvis Costello and his long-serving band The Imposters are heading out on a tour for the sake of a tour. The Just Trust tour will feature 24 dates all over the United States starting on October 23.

The name comes from the fact that Elvis Costello has earned a bit of faith from fans. The tour’s name was explained in a statement from the artist:

“‘Will they play my favourite song?,’ or, ‘Are they going to frighten the horses with a lot of excellent songs that are rarely performed?,’ not to mention, ‘Can I expect the hits of yesteryear and those of tomorrow?’ To which we say: Just Trust Elvis Costello and The Imposters.”

The tour starts on October 23 in Charlottesville at the Sprint Pavilion. From there, it heads up the coast toward two shows in Port Chester, NY at the the Capitol Theatre. Costello quickly turns south toward shows at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre and New Orleans’ Saenger Theatre. The tour closes out with a Midwestern run that terminates in Milwaukee’s Miller High Life Theatre.
