Emeli Sande Plans 2013 U.S. Tour
UPDATE: V Festival
Emeli Sande has been confirmed on the bill of this year’s V Festival. Held annually in the United Kingdom, the festival takes place at two parks simultaneously and share the same bill – those parks being Hylands Park in Chelmsford and Weston Park in South Staffordshire. Bands and artists perform at one location on Saturday and then swap on Sunday.
Set to take place August 17 and August 18, the festival dates will add to her growing number of festival dates this year in the United Kingdom.
Other acts on the bill include the headliners, Beyonce and Kings of Leon, Two Door Cinema Club, The Vaccines, Jason Mraz, Fun., Ellie Goulding, Kendrick Lamar and many more.

Since gaining worldwide notoriety with her performances during the opening and closing ceremonies of the London Summer Olympics, Emeli Sande has toured the United States this fall and has also made plans to tour the US again in 2013 (check out the info below). As we look toward 2013, the Sunderland (UK) born singer who had a number one album in the UK with her February release Our Version of Events, will also hit the festival circuit in her home country.
Sande has been confirmed on the bill for the Isle of Wight Festival, set to take place June 13 through June 16 at Seaclose Park in Newport. She joins a bill that already has Bon Jovi, The Stone Roses, The Killers, The Script, Jake Bugg, Bloc Party and Paloma Faith.

We highlighted Emeli Sande not that long after the closing of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, where she made quite a name for herself on the worldwide scale with an acclaimed performance.
Sande currently has a series of tour dates throughout the United Kingdom, Canada and the West Coast of the United States planned through the end of November. Today she announced a 2013 U.S. tour which will see her visit 13 cities across the nation, kicking off January 12 in Atlanta and wrapping up on February 7 in San Diego. She is playing nothing but major cities along the way, including but not limited to New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles.

After her eye opening performance during the closing ceremonies of the 2012 London Olympics, Emeli Sande has officially been put on the the global music map. The Scottish singer-songwriter’s huge exposure at the Games has sent her debut album “Our Version of Events” to No. 1 on the U.K. charts. The album is just 6,000 copies shy of dethroning Adele’s “21” as the best selling album of 2012 in the United Kingdom.
