Farm Aid Returning to New York in 2013
Farm Aid Tour
The date and location for Farm Aid 2013 has been announced, and the charity concert benefiting family farmers across the US will return to New York for the first time since 2007. Co-founders Willie Nelson, Neil Young, and John Mellencamp will headline for a cast for friends and fellow Farm Aid artists at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs, NY. Started in 1985, Farm Aid’s mission is to keep family farmers on their land by promoting food from family farms, growing the good food movement, helping farms thrive, and taking action to change the system. Every Farm Aid ticket sold helps to further this cause while giving the buyer access to a day of good music and community.
While Nelson, Young, and Mellencamp are assured of being on the 2013 Farm Aid ticket, the other performers are not known. Dave Matthews joined the Board over ten years ago, so he’ll be there; he’ll probably be accompanied by Tim Reynolds rather than the full Dave Matthews Band based on previous years of the Farm Aid concert. Keep checking back in with SeatGeek to stay up to date with the latest announcements about additional Farm Aid performers and other news.
