Father John Misty (aka folk singer-songwriter J. Tillman) went on The Late Show With David Letterman to announce the release of his upcoming sophomore record, I Love You, Honeybear, as well as premiere the track “Bored in the USA” (you can see the video below). The album will be released on February 10 via Sub Pop Records, and, to celebrate and support his new venture, Father John Misty is hitting the road. The tour starts on January 16 in Felton, CA, at the Bret Harte Ball, and then it continues to cities like Chico, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Brooklyn, NY (at Rough Trade NYC); Montreal, QC; Toronto, ON; Atlanta, GA; Asheville, NC; Washington, DC; Boston, MA; Philadelphia, PA; Chicago, IL (at the Vic Theater); Omaha, NE; Denver, CO; Dallas, TX; Austin, TX; and New Orleans, LA; to name a few. Formerly a member of indie rock bands Saxon Shore and Fleet Foxes, J. Tillman adopted the Father John Misty moniker in 2012. He released Fear Fun that same year.
