Flag, Different from Black Flag, Announces North American Tour
Black Flag is back. Wait…you already knew that though, right? Well, there’s a twist: Flag is the most recent incarnation of former Black Flag members (including Stephen Egerton of the Descendents). While the famous hardcore punk group recently made a comeback, the band’s former members Keith Morris, Chuck Dukowski, Dez Cadena and Bill Stevenson have created Flag. This reunion band will cover Black Flag songs. Still with me? If so, your reward is the chance to see the group during their upcoming North American tour this summer and fall.
The tour, which is filled with festival appearances, will kick off in Vegas with a performance at the Punk Rock Bowling and Music Festival. The group will have a few shows in Pittsburgh, Detroit at the Orion Music Festival and Buffalo at Town Ballroom before heading north. Canadian fans can catch Flag in Toronto and Montebello at Amnesia Rock Fest. The group will head to the Sunshine State with one show in Los Angeles at FYF Festival. The tour will end with a few mid-Atlantic stops in Baltimore at First Avenue and Philadelphia at the Trocadero. New York’s Irving Plaza and Boston’s Paradise Rock Club will be the band’s final stops on September 19 and September 20.
