Foals Announce UK, Ireland Tour Dates in Support of New LP

Currently touring the United Kingdom, Foals have been announced as part of the lineup for Metallica’s Orion Music Festival, set to take place June 8 and June 9 at the Raceway at Belle Isle in Detroit.
The band joins festival curator and headliner Metallica as well as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rise Against, BASSNECTAR, Dropkick Murphys, Gogol Bordello, Deftones, Silversun Pickups and many, many more.
Tickets for the festival are on sale now. General admission tickets are going for $150.

Foals, who are set to embark on a U.K. tour in March, will be headed down to Manchester, Tennessee for Bonnaroo. The band will be on the bill with acts such as Paul McCartney, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Mumford & Sons, Wu Tang Clan, R. Kelly, Wilco and many, many others.
Set to take place June 13 through June 16 in Manchester, Tennessee, the festival consistently is regarded as one of the best music festivals each year, receiving awards from publications like GQ and Rolling Stone Magazine.

UPDATE: Reading & Leeds Festival
Foals, currently getting ready for a headlining tour across the United Kingdom kicking off on February 28, have been added to the impressive bill of the Reading and Leeds Festivals, set to take place August 23 through August 25 at Richfield Avenue in Reading and Bramham Park in Leeds.

Oxford rockers Foals have announced a tour of the UK and Ireland slated for early next year. The tour will be in support of the five-piece band’s latest album, Holy Fire, due out on February 11. It kicks off on February 28, at The Academy in Dublin, and moves through Manchester, Liverpool, Glasgow and Birmingham. On March 8, the boys will hit up Norwich for a gig at UEA, before heading on to Leeds, Bristol and Nottingham. The tour wraps up on March 13, at Pyramid in Portsmouth.
It’s not surprising to hear of all the buzz surrounding the release of the new Foals album, considering the success of their previous efforts. The band’s first album, Antidotes, was released in 2008 to critical praise, and peaked at number three in the UK albums chart. Their 2010 release, Total Life Forever, charted in numerous countries worldwide, and garnered them several 2011 NME award nominations.
