The Foo Fighters have been pretty busy lately. They’ve got a new album coming out next month, a recently launched HBO series and they’re hitting the road in less than a week. So why not make things interesting and add a couple more shows to their plate? Yes, Dave Grohl and the guys have announced an additional show for their very immediate future and another performance much further down the line. The first newly added date is a show at DC’s Black Cat for this Friday, October 24, which will be followed by an appearance at the Voodoo Experience in New Orleans on November 2. After that, it’s on to a couple December shows in South Africa and a run through South America in January. At some point next year they’ll get back the US for the OTHER newly announced show, which will be massive concert at Chicago’s legendary Wrigley Field on August 29 (tickets for which go on sale Monday, October 27).

Foo Fighters’ newest album, Sonic Highways, is set to drop on November 10. The album features eight tracks recorded in eight different US cities with local legends. The process was documented by a film crews and is currently airing on HBO.
