Ford Field: A Big Name Concert Venue in Detroit Rock City
Ford Field Concerts
Ford Field, the home of the Detroit Lions since opening in 2002, has seen its share of marquee music names come through its doors for concerts over the past decade. In 2008, Madonna played a sold out Ford Field as part of her Sticky and Sweet tour. In addition to her, Kid Rock played the venue in 2011 as part of his Born Free tour and also in 2011, Taylor Swift was on stage as part of her Speak Now world tour.
This trend will continue this summer as the venue probably has its busiest summer concert season to date in its history. From rock to pop to country and hip hop, some big names from all of these genres will be taking up shop for a night and playing to Detroit music fans.
On the concert schedule as of today are Taylor Swift on May 4, Bon Jovi on July 18, the Legends of Summer tour featuring Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z on August 6 as well as Kenny Chesney on August 17.
Tickets for all concerts as well as all other events at Ford Field this summer can be found right here at SeatGeek.
