UPDATE: More Festivals

fun. are going to be playing a number of festivals this summer, around the world that is. Already confirmed for the V Festival in the United Kingdom, the band has now been confirmed for the new Boston Calling Music Festival, set to take place on May 25 and May 26.

In addition to the Boston appearance, they will also be making their way to Kansas City for the Kanrocksas festival on June 28 and June 29 at Kansas Speedway. They will join Kendrick Lamar, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Avett Brothers, Imagine Dragons and more on the lineup. Tickets are on sale now.

The last festival announcement has them trekking across the globe to the Fuji Rock Festival in Niigata, Japan at the Naeba Ski Resort. Set for July 26 through July 28, the festival will also feature Nine Inch Nails and Bjork. Tickets for the festival go on sale March 9.

UPDATE: V Festival

fun. have been confirmed on the bill of this year’s V Festival. Held annually in the United Kingdom, the festival takes place at two parks simultaneously and share the same bill – those parks being Hylands Park in Chelmsford and Weston Park in South Staffordshire. Bands and artists perform at one location on Saturday and then swap on Sunday.

Set to take place August 17 and August 18, the festival dates will come in the middle of their summer North American tour, kicking off on July 6 in Toronto. See below for the full details.

Other acts on the bill include the headliners, Beyonce and Kings of Leon, Two Door Cinema Club, The Vaccines, Emeli Sandé, Jason Mraz, Ellie Goulding, Kendrick Lamar and many more.

UPDATE: Summer Headlining Tour

fun. announced today plans to kick off their biggest tour to date, headlining a run in July, August and September that will see them play a total of 26 shows across the United States and Canada. Supporting the New York City band will be Tegan & Sara on most dates.

The tour officially kicks off on July 6 in Toronto at Downsview Park and will hit cities such as Cleveland, Columbus, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Boise, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Orlando and Raleigh before wrapping up on September 26 in Charlottesville, VA, at the Ntelos Wireless Pavilion.

fun. Summer 2013 Tour Dates & Tickets


As we mentioned below, Fun. had yet to announce 2013 North American tour plans. Today that changed as the band released a tour schedule kicking off in January that will see the boys from NYC play Saint Paul, Detroit, Washington DC, Boston, New York, Seattle, Oakland, Austin, Houston, Atlanta and Nashville. The tour kicks off on January 23 with the Saint Paul show and wraps up on February 16 with the Nashville show.

Fun. 2013 North American Tour Dates & Tickets


Anthemic pop-rockers Fun. have announced plans to bring their wildly successful sophomore effort, Some Nights, to the UK and Irish masses next spring. The slate of 2013 tour dates in support of their gold album will see frontman Nate Ruess and bandmates Andrew Dost and Jack Antonoff playing one show in Dublin before visiting a series of UK venues in Edinburgh, Leeds, Bristol, Norwich, and Nottingham throughout the month of the April.
