G. Love & the Special Sauce Tour

Isn’t it hard to believe that G. Love & Special Sauce have been on the music scene for a whopping 20 years (we think so, too). To commemorate their two-decade long stretch of laidback tunes, G. Love and his band are releasing a new album, Sugar, dropping on April 22 via Brushfire Records (and featuring a bunch of guest stars). To promote the album (and pay tribute to their longevity), G. Love & Special Sauce are setting out on a 45-date tour in which, at every show, they will play their 1994 debut album in it’s entirety. The tour kicks off on February 5 at 20th Century Theater in Cincinnati, OH, then moves through Detroit, MI; Cleveland, OH; Buffalo, NY; Philadelphia, PA (their hometown); Ft. Lauderdale, FL; New Orleans, LA; and Fresno, CA, to name a few. Tickets for the tour are on sale now.

G. Love & Special Sauce is comprised of Garrett Dutton (that’s G. Love, folks), Jeffery Clemens, and Timo Shanko. The band was formed in 1993 in Boston (even though the band members are from Philly), and a self-titled debut was released in 1994. Off the strength of the album’s first single, called “Cold Beverage”, the disc (remember when they were discs?) went gold.
