Modern bluesman Gary Clark Jr has just unveiled his full summer tour schedule and it is intense. Clark will get things started on May 16 at the Hangout Festival in Gulf Shores, AL. He’ll then jet off to Europe for shows in Italy, Switzerland, Germany and the UK. But Clark will get back stateside to play the main stage at Summerfest with Outkast in Milwaukee on June 29. From there, it’s a leg though Canada and the Midwest, highlights include the Ottawa Bluesfest, Saint Andrews Hall in Detroit, and the Taste of Chicago festival. After headlining a couple shows in Atlantic City and Long Island, Clark will head South and then West, with stops in Wilmington, NC; Kansas City, MO; and Salt Lake City, UT. Clark will take all of August off (except for a show in Paris), but then play a couple shows in Maryland and Virginia, followed by taking over the Central Park Summerstage in New York, and a few shows along the California coast. Clark will close out the tour with a show co-headlined with the Tedeschi Trucks Band at the Greek Theater in LA on November 1.
Known for his unique blend of Blues, Rock, Hip-Hop and R&B, Gary Clark Jr was christened early in his career as a Texas Blues wunderkind and began earning fans from the start.
