The mashups of Greg Gills are a quick shorthand for the years between 2006-2012. It’s a blend that harkens back to the last gasp of the lawless and unhomogenized internet, a quaint reminder of when the online world was still thought of as a boon for creativity and not a source of anxiety and dread. As such, you’re probably not surprised to learn that Girl Talk hasn’t toured since the beginning of Barack Obama’s second term. All that changes this spring however, as the DJ is leaving hibernation for a quick tour.

Girl Talk’s first North American dates in eight years will kick off at Cleveland’s House of Blues. A hometown show at Pittsburgh’s Stage AE follows before he rapidly runs through the Midwest. Gills begins a West Coast run at Portland’s Crystal Ballroom on May 11, running all the way down to San Diego’s House of Blues. After cutting across Texas, Girl Talk will play DC’s 9:30 Club and Boston’s Royale before closing the tour with a set at Gov Ball.
