Gypsy punks Gogol Bordello have announced that they’re once again venturing away from their New York City home-base to tour the US, playing a total of eight shows this winter. Named in honor of the new track they’re giving away digitally with ticket purchases, their “Crack the Case” tour is yet another installment in the band’s extensive touring history. Gogol Bordello concerts are full of fun theatrics, and this year’s shows are sure to feature songs from their latest album, Pura Vida Conspiracy, released in the summer of 2013.
The first Gogol Bordello tour dates are in Texas, hitting Houston on Halloween and Austin on November 1, followed by a stop in New Orleans November 2. They’ll play two shows in Washington, DC, December 27 and 28 before moving to Philadelphia’s Electric Factory for New Year’s Eve. “Crack the Case” will conclude with two shows at the closest thing these gypsies have to a home: NYC’s Terminal 5 on January 2-3, 2015.
