The Goo Goo Dolls and Beach Slang might sound like an odd-pairing to indie-leaning youngsters who only know the former for their massive hit “Iris,” but a quick listen to the groups side-by-side reveals a mutual love of jangle.

The Dolls are taking their kindred along for their summer tour, introducing a whole new slate of fans who might not be up on what’s moving and shaking outside the pages of Rolling Stone.

The Goo Goo Dolls and Beach Slang begin their joint trek–dubbed the Miracle Pill tour–in November at the Kalamazoo State Theater. They head for all points south from there, stopping at Louisville’s Palace Theater and Chattanooga’s Tivoli Theater before turning back around Charleston. The Beach Slang run concludes when the Goo Goo Dolls larger tour does in Toronto on November 25.

However, fans of the headliners will have many more chances to catch the Dolls prior to the Beach Slang dates. Their full tour is already happening, with their next date coming July 26 in at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga Springs, New York.
