Gov’t Mule to Tour the South With The Revivalists
Gov’t Mule Tour
Southern jam rockers Gov’t Mule have announced a small string of shows with New Orleans-based band The Revivalists. The groups will tour together throughout the South, leading up to a slot at the New Orleans Jazz Fest in which The Revivalists will play. The tour kicks off on April 21 in Charleston, SC, at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center. After that it’s off to North Carolina for a performance at the Greenfield Lake Amphitheater, followed by a stop in Cincinnati, OH, at the Taft Theatre. Cincinnati is also home to the upcoming Bunbury Festival, whose lineup was just announced.
The second part of the seven-date stint sees the bands throughout Missouri, first at The Blue Note in Columbia on April 28, followed by a gig in Kansas City at the Uptown Theater. The tour wraps up with a show in New Orleans, LA, at Mahalia Jackson Theater on May 3. After that, Gov’t Mule will throw in the tour-towel, while The Revivalists will prepare to take the stage for Jazz Fest. Check out the latest release from Gov’t Mule, 2010’s Mulennium, which peaked at no. 8 on the US Indie charts.
