Born in Portoroz, Slovenia, Denis Jasarevic released his love for music at an early age, loving American funk, jazz, and blues from his older sister’s music collection. As he got older, he began a love affair with the hip-hop sounds that shape the beats he makes today. Jasarevic took those beats to Beatport, where they were noticed by audiences in the United States and Europe. Gramatik has released eight studio albums, including 2008’s Expedition 44 and Street Bangerz Vol. 1; 2009’s Street Bangerz Vol. 2; 2010’s Street Bangerz Vol. 3 and No Shortcuts; and more.
