After previously announcing a slew of winter tour dates, Greensky Bluegrass is at it again. This ever-touring bluegrass band will also spend April and May on the road, kicking off an East Coast spring leg of the tour in New York, NY., at the Highline Ballroom. They’ll also hit up venues in Philly, Boston and New Orleans. On April 27, you can catch them at the Dogwood Music & Arts Festival on Moultrie, GA. This isn’t the only festy gig the jam band is scheduled for; catch them at Electric Forest on June 27-30, and Northwest String Summit on July 27.

Greensky Bluegrass, a five-piece jam band from Kalamazoo, MI, have announced dates for a West Coast leg of their nationwide tour. This is an addition to January dates in the Southeast, and February dates in the Midwest, which include a stop in their hometown on on February 7, at Bell’s Brewery. The West Coast shows begin on March 1, with two nights at the Fox Theatre in Boulder, CO. They’ll also hit up Salt Lake City, Seattle and Portland. They’ll also perform throughout California, with gigs in Arcata, Chico, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. The tour wraps up on March 17, with a show in San Diego at Porter’s Pub. Frontier Ruckus, Ryan Montbleau Band and The Deadly Gentlemen will all serve as supporting acts for varying dates. Also, on February 1, the band will open up for Umphrey’s McGee in Grand Rapids, MI.

Also on the horizon for the Greensky Bluegrass is a new studio album. The band have confirmed that they will begin work on a new project in late January, as a follow-up to their 2011 release, Handguns, which peaked at No. 3 on the US Bluegrass music chart.
