It’s been less than a week since The Allman Brothers Band played their final show at NYC’s Beacon Theatre, and already frontman Gregg Allman has announced dates for a solo tour. The 11-show run begins on New Year’s Eve at Symphony Hall in Atlanta, GA, followed by two shows in Florida (January 3 & 4), and four shows in Georgia (January 6 & 7 in Athens; January 9 & 10 in Macon). Of course, no Southern tour would be complete without a stop in Nashville, so folks living in or around the Music City can catch the legendary rocker on January 13 & 14 at the Ryman Auditorium. The tour will wrap up with a gig in Cherokee, NC, followed by yet another date in Georgia at the Johnny Mercer Theatre in Savannah on January 17.

Joining Allman as his backing band is guitarist Scott Sharrard, keyboardist Peter Levin, drummer Steve Potts, percussionist Marc Quinones, bassist Ron Johnson, and Jay Collins, Art Edmaiston and Marc Fanklin on the horns. Tickets for a select number of shows are currently available on the secondary market.
