Incubus and 311 might not seem like a match on paper, but anyone who has spent time tuned into a modern rock radio station in the last decade has learned that their audiences are not that far off from one another. This summer they’ll test out that theory when they join forces for a tour, playing an impressive array of amphitheaters across the US.

The two bands actually have a bit of a history. They toured together at the turn of the century, making this trek their first outing together in 20 years. The reunion (of sorts) begins at the White River Amphitheatre in Auburn, Washington on July 15. The bands run down the West Coast and through the Southwest, stopping at Albuquerque’s Isleta Amphitheater before turning north toward Denver.

After three shows in Texas, the bands will play Atlanta’s Cellairis Amphitheatre and Tampa’s MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre to start August. The tour spends the majority of the month in the Northeast, playing venues in New York and New Jersey, before closing with dates in Chicago and Cincinnati. The joint tour comes to an end in early September with a show at Indiana’s Ruoff Music Center.
