Alt-pop rockers Incubus have let it be known that not only will they be releasing a new album next year (their seventh), but are also heading out on a world tour. Various members have gone on record in recent interviews stating that they’re currently working on new music and planning on 2015 release (although no specific dates have been mentioned). And then the group recently posted a pic of everyone together on social media with caption proclaiming “There will be an Incubus tour in North America 2015, and all over the rest of the world too…” So far the only tour dates that have been confirmed are for Australia. The guys will land down under early next year, playing four stops on the Soundwave festival. They’ll perform in Adelaide on February 21, Melbourne on February 22, Sydney on February 28 and Brisbane on March 1. No other dates or venues are available, but we’ll let you know more as soon as it’s released.
Formed in 1991 in Southern California, Incubus earned early praise from critics for their skillful blend of rock, funk, and hip-hop. They broke through to massive mainstream recognition with their third album 1999’s Make Yourself, which included the hit singles “Drive” and “Stellar.” They’ve since released five more albums, including a greatest hits collection.
