Interpol were the most polished act of the entire New York rock boom and, even though the years when Julian Casablancas and Paul Banks were haunting the same clubs is well in the past, that talent still exists. The suited-up dudes behind Turn On The Bright Lights can still put on a show and they are bringing plenty of them to North American fans over the first half of the year.

The tour starts on the West Coast with stops at Vancouver’s Queen Elizabeth Theatre and Seattle’s Moore Theatre. The band heads for the Midwest from there stopping at St. Louis’ Pageant and the Chicago Theatre. They kick around the South or a bit with shows at Athens’ 40 Watt Club and Raleigh’s Ritz before closing out the first leg with a show at Madison Square Garden.

The band takes a month to tour South America before coming back to the states for another run of dates in the South, including a set at Atlanta’s Shaky Knees fest. The group heads into the summer with a string of shows on the European festival circuit. Depending on when you catch them, Interpol are bringing along Sunflower Bean, Car Seat Headrest, Snail Mail and Foals.
