Jagwar Ma Tour

Sydney-based, psychedelic-pop trio Jagwar Ma sold out last week’s shows at NYC’s Mercury Lounge (their first ever in North America) long ago, so it only makes sense that they’d announce new dates in conjunction with the summer release of their debut album, Howlin’. They’ll be stopping in NYC again on December 3 at the Bowery Ballroom, with other dates in Brooklyn, NY; Chicago, IL; Philadelphia, PA; Washington, D.C.; Vancouver, BC; Toronto, ON, and more. So where did the name “Jagwar Ma” come from? It’s a derivative from guitar player Jono Ma’s surname, as well as a gift given to the band.
