Owen may make audiences all over the country sing along to his songs, but he originally pursued a career as a professional golfer. After winning his first tournament at 15, Owen was seriously injured in a wakeboarding accident requiring extensive reconstructive surgery and had to abandon his athletic career. Lucky for his fans, he picked up a guitar, and the rest is country music history.
