James Arthur is heading to the United States with a whole new album and his head held high. The one-time X-Factor winner will tour behind You, his first album since 2016. And Arthur says he’s never felt more confident about a batch of songs in his career.

“All the songs on [You] are directed at you. They feel more inclusive, a bit more like conversational,” he said in an interview with L’Officiel. “I’ve never been more proud to stand behind a body of work. I’ve been across every inch of it; it’s got so much of me in it. I haven’t given away a piece of my soul one little bit on this record. I’m proud of it.”

He’ll bring that energy stateside starting in April with a show Indianapolis’ Egyptian Room. He’ll brie feint toward the East Coast for a show at the Philly Fillmore before turning back for shows in Detroit and Toronto. A few quick dates in New England and Maryland precede a proper run through the Midwest, concluding at Chicago’s House of Blues. Southern and West Coast legs carry Arthur through May before he finally wraps the tour at Phoenix’s Van Buren.
