Jason Newsted Tour

Jason Newsted, the former Metallica bassist, has announced a spring tour to support the release of his solo EP, Metal. Newsted will be joined by Staind guitarist Mike Mushok, guitarist Jessie Farnsworth, and drummer Jesus Mendez Jr. Shows are set to kick-off on April 19 and will run through June 30.  The tour will total 21 concerts in the US and Europe.  Newsted is also working on the final touches to his full-length album, which is slated for release this summer.

Red House will host the first concert in Walnut Creek, CA, on April 19. West Coast stops will include San Jose, CA; Las Vegas, NV; and Los Angeles, CA. The heavy metal tour will stop in the Midwest for three shows, including a concert in Chicago, IL, at the Bottom Lounge. Following three shows in the East Coast, Newstead will finish the tour in Europe. Warsaw, Poland; Helsinki, Finland; and Dessel, Belgium, will highlight the seven-show European stint.
