Who says you need a studio album to tour? Definitely not Jay Electronica! The rap enigma and Roc Nation member has been promising that his LONG awaited full length album Act II: Patents of Nobility (The Turn) was set to drop ANY day since 2010. In the meantime, Electronica will be hitting the road with collaborator Common. The duo will kick things off at Las Vegas’ House of Blues on November 21. From there, it’s on to shows in southern California and New Mexico. They’ll play the Ogden Theatre in Denver in November 1 and then move on to a run through Texas, followed by shows in New Orleans and Atlanta. They’re scheduled to play the Filmore in Washington DC on December 7 and then head north to Philadelphia. They’ll close out the tour with a two-night stint at New York’s Irving Plaza on December 9 and 10.

Legally known Timothy Elpadaro Thedford and originally from New Orleans, Jay Electronica broke out in 2007 with his mixtape Act I: Eternal Sunshine (The Pledge), which was originally released on his MySpace page. He’s since been working on his full-length studio album, though he’s released some singles and made guest appearances on a few other tracks over the years. Common is a Grammy Award-winning hip-hop legend who launched his rap career in the 90s and has branched out into acting and writing.
