Jay-Z just can’t seem to get enough of his home borough’s latest attraction, The Barclays Center, and that’s all right with us. The BK rapper will join megastars Coldplay as they wrap up their 2012 tour with a New Year’s Eve show at the new venue. Prior to the December 31st gig, Coldplay will visit the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT, on December 2, and hit up the Barclays stage sans-HOVA on December 30.

The BK concert will mark the second time the two acts have rung in the new year together. The first, back in 2010, saw them performing in Las Vegas, NV. More recently, the pair shared the stage at the London 2012 Paralympic Closing Games. While Jay-Z’s NYE appearance will up his performance count to a full nine shows at the less than two-month-old arena, Coldplay’s two brief concerts will be the first the group has played in New York since 2005. Tickets for their CT show go on sale this Friday, November 16, while tickets to the New Year’s Eve concert will start selling this Saturday, November 17.
