Comedy legend Jerry Lewis has just revealed that he’ll be launching a live comedy tour for this fall. Lewis will kick things off on September 30 at the Smith Center in Las Vegas. After that, he’ll head to California — playing shows at the Saban Theater in Beverly Hills on October 10 and the Fox Performing Arts Center in Riverside on October 11. He’ll then head East to perform in Newport News, Virginia on October 18 and in Columbus, Ohio on October 19. Lewis will finish the tour in Illinois, first with a show at the Effingham Performance Center in Effingham on October 25 followed by a performance at Aurora’s Paramount Theatre on October 26.

Known for his slapstick style of humor, Jerry Lewis first rose to prominence as the partner of Dean Martin, forming the famed comedy duo Martin & Lewis. After the pair split up, Lewis went on to a successful film career, making such legendary comedies as “Cinderfella,” “The Nutty Professor” and (much later in his career) Martin Scorsese’s “The King of Comedy.” He’s also famous for serving as host for the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s annual telethon for over 40 years.
