British chanteuse Jessie Ware has a new album (Tough Love was released earlier this year) and a stripped-down sound, and she’s bringing both to North America. Following an extensive European jaunt, the newly married Ware will play early-spring shows in Washington, DC (at 9:30 Club); New York, NY (at Terminal 5); Montreal, QC (at Corona Theatre); Toronto, ON (at Danforth Hall); Chicago, IL (at Metro); Berkeley, CA (at Zellerbach Hall); and Los Angeles, CA (at The Wiltern). Don’t see your city on the list? Keep an eye out—more dates are sure to be announced. For more information on ticketing and on-sale dates, visit Ware’s website, and be sure to pick up her record—it’s dynamite.

Jessie Ware didn’t get her start as a musician—she was actually a journalist—but she’s been paying her musical dues for a while as a longtime fixture of the local London music scene. She’s pals with everyone from Adele and Sampha to the Maccabees and Blood Orange’s Dev Hynes. Ware released her debut album, Devotion, in August 2012—it hit No. Five on the UK charts.
