My Morning Jacket frontman Jim James will hit the road for a solo tour in support of his new album Eternally Even. The new tunes take on the current political, social and environmental issues plaguing the country, and examine whether we’re too late to fix them. Watch them performed live starting on September 28 in Pioneertown, CA, at Pappy and Harriet’s and wrapping up on December 17 in New Orleans, LA, at The Civic Theatre. He’s also on tap for the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival held in San Francisco on September 30. Full itinerary below.

Jim James New Album

The second solo album from Jim James, Eternally Even, is due out on November 4 via ATO/Capitol Records. Of the album’s social and political themes, James said in a press release:
I still have hope in humanity. I’m just trying to be a part of the discussion and encourage people to speak out for equality, to not be afraid to speak out for peace and love. All of us feel afraid at times in these absolutely insane times, but its important we speak our minds, cast our votes, and do not give in to fear and hatred.”
