Update – Fall Tour

Did you miss your first chance to see the Jonai on tour? Well, you dawdling fan, you’re not to worry: the Jonas Brothers have announced yet another grouping of North American tour dates to take place this fall. These gigs kick off on October 11 in Upper Darby, PA, and move through New York City, Albany, NY; Montreal, Westbury, NY; Silver Springs, MD; and Kansas City, MO, with a final show on November 6 at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle, WA. Joining Kevin, Nick, and Joe on tour will be singer-songwriter Bonnie McKee. Tickets for these dates go on sale to the general public on Friday, September 13 (hopefully, that Friday the 13th will be lucky for ticket hunters!).

Update – Summer Tour

Attention, North American Jonas Brothers fans—no longer will you need to sob to episodes of Married With Jonas to get your fix of Joe, Nick, and Kevin (and maybe Frankie, the “bonus Jonas”). Following their sold-out shows at Radio City Music Hall and the Pantages Theatre and a successful run in Latin America, the Jonai have announced their first North American tour in three years! The “Jonas Brothers Live Tour” will kick off on July 10 at Chicago’s Charter One Pavilion at Northerly Island, making stops throughout the U.S. and Canada to fulfill the dreams of Jonas fans coast to coast. Also revealed was the group’s new single, “Pom Poms”. The song’s got a foot-stomping beat and a grown-up sound, and the video has cheerleaders and a gospel choir – what is there not to like?

Team Jonas fan club members will have exclusive access to presale tickets through the Jonas Brothers website beginning on April 9, and Citi cardmembers can access their presale on April 10. General tickets go on sale on April 13, so don’t delay, Jonas fans—you never know when the next reality show will hit!

Jonas Brothers Tour

After a successful US concert run this past fall, the Jonas Brothers will swap North for South America come the new year. Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas have announced 12 headlining shows slated for next February-March, a series of dates that includes stops in Venezuela, Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, and Guatemala. Although the all grownup gang doesn’t have a new album to promote, rumor has it the boys’ upcoming performances will feature new material from an untitled effort set to be released sometime in 2013.

The new TBA record will mark album no. five for the close-knit band of brothers, who only began recording less than a decade ago. As the story goes for so many struggling groups, the Jonas trio first gained mainstream notice as the opening act for several established pop musicians, including Kelly Clarkson, The Backstreet Boys, and Jesse McCartney, appearances they supplemented with guest spots on the Disney Channel cash cow, “Hannah Montana” (starring the future girlfriend of baby-bro Nick, Miley Cyrus). Once they got a foot in Mickey Mouse’s door – a notoriously inviting space for aspiring tween idols – the Jonas’ were given a TV movie to star in, and a sequel to capitalize on, cementing their success with the pre-pubescent set. Not even the marriage of one brother (Kevin) and his subsequent E! reality show could dim the appeal of the wholesome pop-rock (without too much unseemly roll) singers. They sold out several US dates only a few months ago, so be sure to scoop up tickets to their South American shows while you still can!
