Second-Generation Reggae Artist Julian Marley Announces Australia Tour
Julian Marley Tour
The second-generation reggae artist, Julian Marley – son of legend Bob Marley – has announced his first ever Australian tour. Sometimes referred to as “Juju,” Julian’s career in the music industry began as a 12-year-old when he wrote two unreleased songs about the death of Carlton Barrett, a Wailer drummer. The now 38-year-old London native has come a far way, with three albums under his belt and several accolades from the music industry. His most famous album, Awake, was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album category in 2009.
Julian is due to hit the three beautiful cities of Melbourne, Sydney, and Cairns, on May 9, 10th and 11th, respectively. Reggae, although originating from Jamaica in the late 1960s, easily spread to the rather small Jamaican community of Australia in the 1970s. This can be mostly attributed to the uprising of Bob Marley and The Wailers. Not only reggae fans – but music fans everywhere – make sure to buy those tickets soon because hearing a Marley playing classic reggae tunes is a thing you definitely don’t want to miss!
