These days the Justin Bieber twitter page is one of the most popular destinations on the internet. With close to 11,500,000 followers, Bieber’s Twitter audience is second only to Lady Gaga’s.  Still, we think it’s safe to say that Bieber has, by far, the greatest Twitter influence of any celebrity.

Justin tweets constantly, averaging 4.1 tweets per day–far more than most artists of his popularity.  Furthermore, Bieber clearly works very hard to connect with his Twitter followers.  He frequently ReTweets fans’ posts, replies to their @ mentions, and even follows some of his biggest “Beliebers”.

Perhaps Justin’s most effective tool in building a relationship with his followers is his tendency to refer to his fans in his tweets as though they are close friends–part of a sort of “Bieber family”.  His many thankful, friendly, even flirty tweets, create a more intimate experience on his twitter page.

Luckily for the Biebs, his fans seem to love this genuine approach. Here at SeatGeek, we wanted to know what, if any, impact Justin’s popular tweets had on fans interest in his tickets.  We took a look at some of the most intimate, memorable, and flirtatious tweets from Justin Bieber over the past year and a half and checked the secondary market ticket sales for those days.

Across the board, on the days that Justin posted these particularly personal tweets, we saw a significant spike in ticket sales. It seems like the Bieber girls really appreciate his honest, personal touch on twitter.  Tweets like these get retweeted over and over and shared amongst friends and on fan websites, increasing his publicity and (apparently) his ticket sales. It looks like ‘Beliebers’ notice his fan love and are #payingitforward.
