Legends of the Summer Tickets

UPDATE: Justin Timberlake Jay-Z Legends of the Summer Tour Dates 2013

“Imagine getting to watch these two icons perform in legendary baseball stadiums like Yankee Stadium, Fenway Park and Candlestick Park! We can’t wait!,” Justin Timberlake wrote on his website early this morning. Not the most humble tour announcement we’ve ever come across, but it certainly ranks among the most accurate: We can’t wait to watch JT and Jay-Z embark on their Legends of the Summer tour. Check out the duo’s full list of confirmed summer stadium dates below, and be sure to check back here for discount links once tickets become available!

JT, most popular kid in the biz, has apparently made yet another high-profile friend: Marcus Mumford. Justin met the lead singer of folk ensemble Mumford & Sons while filming the Coen Brothers’ new film, Inside Llewyn Davis, with Mumford’s wife Carey Mulligan. The pair hit it off, and are now collaborating on the soundtrack to the movie, which chronicles the career ups-and-downs of a singer/songwriter folk artist (Oscar Isaac) in 1960’s New York. With all the mercurial angst evident in the film’s trailer, Inside Llewyn Davis seems sure to appeal to the same “millenial” demographic that just so happens to comprise the majority of Timberlake and Mumford’s own fan bases. All seems pretty logical. Although the film isn’t slated for release until December, you can check out its first trailer (John Goodman included!) below:

UPDATE: Wireless Festival

The Wireless Festival is moving to Olympic Park in London this year and is setting the stage for two of the hottest names in music on the bill. Justin Timberlake and Jay-Z, currently setting radio on fire with Timberlake’s comeback single “Suit & Tie,” will be on the bill for the festival, set to take place on July 12 and July 13.

The wrinkle is that the two artists will not be performing together as Timberlake will be on the bill for July 12 and Jay-Z will be on the bill for July 13. Something tells me though that it is not a stretch of the imagination that they may appear on the stage together somehow.

Also included on the bill are Kendrick Lamar, Emeli Sande, Snoop Dogg and Frank Ocean among others. Tickets for the festival will go on sale to the general public this coming Friday, February 22.

The official video for Justin Timberlake’s “Suit & Tie” has just been released and, with The Social Network director David Fincher at the helm, it’s appropriately stylized. Check out JT as he slicks back his hair, reclaims the falsetto, laughs it up with Jay over breakfast (you just know the original Rat Packers began each morning with a lit cigar and last night’s cravat hanging from their necks, too) and generally brings a sleeker version of sexy back. See for yourself below:

Justin Timberlake Jay-Z Tour

While we’ve been waiting for weeks to hear news of an upcoming Justin Timberlake tour – becoming members of his website to boot – as it turns out, the singer’s announcement may be even more exciting than previously, fervently expected. According to Rolling Stone Magazine, JT will, in fact, embark on that international concert series… only to be joined by rapper extraordinaire, hubby supreme, and multifarious mogul, Jay-Z, to the delight of Justin’s patient fans.

HOVA was recently featured on Timberlake’s first single in seven years, “Suit & Tie.” He also performed alongside the pop superstar during last Sunday’s Grammys, gifting the world a small taste of what’s sure to be the hottest ticket(s) of the year.

No specifics have been released yet (what’s an announcement without the requisite buildup?), but we do know the duo’s TBA itinerary may include “11 to 13 stadium dates.” We’re thinking MSG, we’re thinking Staples Center, we’re thinking United Center, we’re thinking the obvious: Barclays Center finale??

We’ll be sure to keep you updated as more news is released piece-by-piece, one insider-quote and tweet at a time. While you wait, go ahead and scroll through our JT & Jay-Z offerings, including their killer Grammys performance, below:
