Kaskade‘s fan base and big beat sound are ideal components of an arena tour, which is something the San Francisco-based house DJ is no stranger to. However, his upcoming “It’s You, It’s Me Redux” tour is not about “the big feel of huge crowds, anthems and mayhem,” he explains. Details are sparse at the moment, but this will be something of a “boutique tour,” stopping in nine major US cities (including Chicago, New York, Los Angeles and of course San Francisco) at venues meant to hold only 200 – 300 people. “These are the clubs I played back in the day.”
The “Redux” of the tour refers to the 10th anniversary of the release of Kaskade‘s first studio release, It’s You, It’s Me, as well as a return to where the DJ was in his career at the time. “It’s going to be a small and dirty gig-type atmosphere,” he says. “It’s going to be intimate. It’s going to be deep.” One thing that won’t be a total throwback is the means of getting tickets to what will easily be a sold-out run. Kaskade will take to social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) to announce dates and venues, and only five days ahead of time. Stay tuned here for updates on how, when and where you can get tickets.
