Top 5 Tour Announcements of the Week
It was an exciting week of tour announcements, with Kendrick, Katy and Khalid all revealing fresh show dates. Here’s who we’re most excited to see hit the road.
Khalid American Teen Tour
This 19-year-old El Paso native burst onto the Billboard Hot 100 earlier this year with single “Location,” and now he’s hitting the road in support of his debut album American Teen. Khalid’s American Teen Tour will start on July 12 at the Roseland Theater in Portland, OR, followed by stops throughout the South and West Coast. Khalid will spend the month of August on the other side of the country, performing up and down the East Coast and even into Canada. The tour comes to a close on September 21 with a show at Nob Hill Masonic in San Francisco, CA. Click here for tickets.
Mystery Science Theater 3000 Watch Out For Snakes! Tour
Following a successful Netflix reboot last month, the creators behind Mystery Science Theater 3000 have announced plans to take the show on the road. Catch hosts Joel Hodgson and Jonah Ray, along with Crow, Tom Servo and Gypsy, on the Watch Out for Snakes! Tour slated for the summer. The fun kicks off on June 6 in Boston and wraps up on August 12 in Atlanta. Click here for tickets.
Kendrick Lamar Additional DAMN. Dates
Kendrick Lamar has nearly doubled his touring schedule. Due to overwhelming demand, the rapper has just added 15 more stops to the DAMN. tour, which is still slated to kick off on July 12 in Quebec. The new leg of shows begin on August 11 in Anaheim, CA, at the Honda Center, followed by stops in the Midwest, Canada and additional East Coast performances. Mary J. Blige Strength of a Woman Tour
In support of her latest album of the same name, soul stalwart Mary J. Blige has announced the “Strength of a Woman” tour. The fun kicks off on July 30 at the Chicago Theatre and includes stops in the Midwest, East Coast and South. The tour comes to a close on September 9 in Oakland, CA, at the Paramount Theatre. Strength of a Woman is Blige’s 13th studio album and includes collaborations with Missy Elliot and Kanye West. Click here for tickets.
Katy Perry Witness Tour
Katy Perry is back in the spotlight. The pop goddess has just revealed plans for a new album and 43-date North American tour. Witness: The Tour tour starts on September 7 in Columbus, OH, at the Schottenstein Center, followed by stops in Canada and the North and Southeast. The second half of the run will see Perry throughout the Mid and Southwest, before it comes to a close on February 5 in Vancouver, BC, at the Pepsi Live Arena. Click here for tickets.
