Who would have thunk back in the “brush my teeth with a bottle of Jack” that Kesha would become a consistent source of uplifting anthems for women and LGBT people? Following a years-long nightmare of a fight between herself and her alleged abuser Dr. Luke, Kesha has fully taken control of her own image and used it to craft several albums full of stirring, emotional pop.

Kesha recently stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! to perform her new Big Freedia collab “Raising Hell.” The recent roll-out of singles and late-night performances suggests Kesha is gearing up for a proper tour. Expect more in the vein of “Rich, White, Straight Men” as the release date for her new album High Road draws closer.

Kesha claims that new album is a healthy mix of her party songs and the open-hearted album Rainbow. She said that she “proved to herself that she could find a balance between her early style and her more recent, introspective inclinations.” Outside of this new collection, she claims to also have “a gorgeous folk album just waiting for its moment to shine.”

If High Road draws the same amount of critical adoration as her last release, expect a tour of halls and theaters across the United States. Keep your eyes open for dates around the January 10 release date.
